Information required in using the duty free shop is provided.
Pick-up areas are also described. Please check the location of the pick-up area before your departure.
Enjoy shopping at The Shilla Duty Free!

  1. Travelers whose departure itinerary is finalized may use The Shilla Duty Free.
  2. Purchased products must be picked up at the designated pick-up area on your departure date.
  3. When you visit a duty free shop, please bring your passport and you must have the departure date and flight number information.。
  4. If you have departed without picking up purchased products, you may receive them after entering your country by filing a separate post.
  5. Duty free products may be purchased up to six hours prior to your departure.
  6. At the duty free shop, you can purchase from 30 days prior to your departure date.

The Shilla Duty Free is open 365 days a year.

Prevention of confusion on duty free limit

  1. Koreans departing to overseas are allowed to purchase duty-free items upto US$3,000.
  2. Duty free limit on items brought in by foreign travelers or overseas residents is US$400.
  3. If you departed without picking up purchased products, you may receive them after entering your country by filing a separate post.
  4. If you do not clear customs, surcharge in addition to taxes may be levied on uncleared items. If you do not clear customs intentionally or clear customs fraudulently, you may be liable to punishment according to the Customs Act.

Exchange/refund procedures for duty free products and notices

  1. Duty free products purchased at The Shilla Duty Free may be exchanged or refunded only when an exchange or a refund is requested through international mail from overseas or the products are placed in the custody of customs upon arrival.
    (However, if the total price of products is less than US$400, international mail or custody by customs is not required for exchange/refund.)
  2. Your payment will be refunded if a product you want to exchange is not available by your date of departure.

Procedures if your date of departure is changed/cancelled

  1. If your date of departure is changed, please notify The Shilla Duty Free Customer Service (+82-2-2639-6000).
  2. If your departure is cancelled, please notify Customer Service. In order to cancel your order, please visit the store as soon as possible.
