- Daehangno is a theater and arts district that is the former site of Seoul National University. Currently, the district holds more than 100 performance theaters. - Traditionally, the Gwanghwamun district, where Gyeongbokgung Palace - known to be the best spot in terms of geomantic principles - and Cheongwadae are located, has been Seoul's center of administration, economy and culture. In 2009, Gwanghwamun Plaza opened in the old Yukjo Street. The plaza, which houses the statues of King Sejong and Admiral Yi Sun-shin and an exhibition room for Haechi (the symbol of Seoul), has become an essential sightseeing destination for both Korean and international tourists. Cheonggyecheon is a stream with a symbolic significance as it displays the history of Seoul. Restored as a rest place for citizens in 2003, Cheonggyecheon is a natural ecological space and much loved as a place for ongoing festivals and events.

- Namdaemun Market is the largest traditional market in Korea, having been built in the Joseon Dynasty in 1414. Over 10,000 stores are lined up around Sungnyemun. As a variety of goods are available, including clothing, food, fruits and vegetables, and accessories, this is a must-go place for international visitors as well as Koreans. In particular, restaurants in the alleyways, which grew along the legacy of the market, are famous for hairtail boiled in soy sauce, noodles and beef-bone soup.

- Namsan (Nam Mountain) located next to Jung-gu and Yongsan-gu is one of Seoul's representative parks and averages 2,300 visitors a day. Nearby, you can also visit Namsangol Hanok Village or go see performances at the National Theater of Korea. Namsan is conveniently located in the center of Seoul, close to Myeongdong and downtown.
