BIOEFFECT was founded by three Icelandic scientists when they discovered, after ten years of resarch, a way to bioengineer a plant-based
human replica of EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) in barley plants.
 
From birth until adulthood, our bodies manufacture copious amounts of various proteins called growth factors. They are signal molecules that communicate with cells, sending a message to repair, rejuvenate or proliferate. EGF is one of the most important growth factor for skin cells, helping them to boost production of collagen and elastin and increase the skin’s capacity to store water to maintain healthy, dense skin.
 
There are many factors that play a role in skin aging and some are beyond our control, like genetics. We can, however, lead a healthy lifestyle, protect our skin from the sun and use effective anti-aging skincare products. BIOEFFECT’s EGF products replenish the body’s own natural supply of EGF and rejuvenate skin cells, thus helping to slow the aging process. We all age but how we age is up to us.

  • Purchase and exemption limit

    - When entering Korea, if you exceed the allowable duty-free limit of travel, you must pay the tax after voluntarily declaring to customs.
