GODIVA was named after the Belgian legendary lady ‘GODIVA’ and founded by Joseph of the Belgian Draps family, who started manufacturing chocolates in Brussels in 1920. Since then, GODIVA achieved success in short period of time and expanded its stores across Belgium and expanded to Paris in 1958, and opened a store in 5th avenue, New York in 1966. It was the world’s first chocolate brand. GODIVA was responsible for producing chocolates for the Belgian royal family, and they handmade all of their chocolates and did not use preservatives. GODIVA chocolates are loved for its fascinating taste and luxurious packaging designs and are sold in local stores and duty free stores in Europe, America, Middle East, Asia and all around the world.
