LOUIS QUATORZE

Brand details
Louis Quatorze was created in 1980 when Paul Barrate, a descendant of a French artisan family, combined Louis XIV’s lifestyle with modern sensibility to celebrate the Sun King’s era, during which the French culture and art flourished. Creation de Versailles, the headquarters of Paul Barrate’s Louis Quatorze, introduced hand bags and wallets made with carefully selected French leather of highest grade to support the craftsmanship of Louis XIV’s time, which had been long lost, with the purpose of reviving traditional crafts. It started as a boutique shop in the fashionable Vendome plaza of Paris, and Paul Barrate named his brand after Louis XIV who enjoyed cultural glory when he founded Louis Quatorze, a premium total fashion accessory brand.
