JEAN PAUL GAULTIER

Brand details
Jean Paul Gaultier is a French designer, best known for his eponymous design house and his seven-year tenure as head designer at Hermes. In 1976, Gaultier established his own fashion label and held his first runway show in Paris. Jean Paul Gaultier, called as a ‘Revolutionary’ of fashion, is inspired by daily life and ordinary places just like he was inspired by his childhood memory with grandmother ‘Nina’ for his first piece. Able to see his famous pieces are inspired by daily life though his fashion show such as [Corset], [Stripe Shirt for Crewmen], and [Men’s Skirt]. Jean-Paul's designs have exalted the theme of androgyny, brought men and women closer, moved to put an end to the prejudice against age, given sublime expression to the encounter between worlds and cultures, and associated memory with the strictly contemporary.
