S.T.DUPONT Lighter’s unique cling sound is created naturally from the process of manufacture. Therefore, any complains regarding the sound cannot be the reason for exchange and refund.
The pitch and vibration of the cling sound vary from each product neither of which can be considered as good nor bad.
Lighter has been created as a tool to light the fire which has nothing to do with its quality and sound.
While Dupont Lighters are processed through handworks, there might be scratches on the metal work and lacquer products which cannot be the reason for exchange and refund.
Exchanges and refunds will not be processed with any defects made by the customer’s careless actions or after striking a lighter due to the nature of the product.

- We recommend you to use the original refills of S.T.DUPONT (Gases and stones can be purchased at Boutique)
-Any defects made by the customer’s careless actions will still be charged even during the warranty period. If the letter of warranty is not being submitted, there will be extra charges on the repair as well.
- The screw from the attached pin in the cover might be loose due to the pressure and vibration while opening and closing it.
-When opening the cover, try to open it parallel from the side to body in order to balance the pressure on the connecting pins.
Opening the cover by edge may damage the connecting pin due to the one-sided wear or deformation of the cover.
S.T.DUPONT Lighter is a plated ware which may have discoloration or exfoliation.
Especially for silvers, it needs a careful management (Ex. Cleaning) while it has a property to turn dark when friction occurs with oxygen. Lacquered products are fragile to a strong pressure. Repairs regarding the surface damage of the Lighter such as Lacquer breakages, discolorations, and scratches will not be processed.

-Absence of gas/ Abrasion of Print Wheel (Flint)/ Reversed insert/ Breakage of Gas Inlet
- Using an unauthentic gas than its original refill.
- There might be an extra charge for the repair due to the internal breakdowns such as clogged nozzles.

(Confiscation at customs) * In case that a customer travels to Korea or other countries from China, Philippines and Japan; a lighter may be prohibited to bring in at the airport. (Especially it will mostly be confiscated as transferring to Europe or Middle East countries) * Regulations above can change at any time and can be different depending on airports and the airlines, therefore, be highly advised to check it in advance from related airports and airlines.

Repairs Service

     ■ Customer Service Notice
    - Every DUPONT product has a warranty and a customer can have a free-customer service in case of the product confirmed as target of a free-customer service.
    - The damage of leather part of a wallet or a belt caused by general use cannot be a target of Exchange, Refund or Return regardless of a warranty period; a special care as using it is needed. It can be repaired by a customer expense if necessary.
    - Customer Service for the products caused by a customer may be charged to a customer irrespective of a warranty period.
    - It usually takes about 3 to 4 weeks when repairs in Korea, and 3 months in France.

    ■ Free-Customer Service period: 6 months in leather products and 1 year in accessories/pens/lighters/belt buckles.
    ■ Goods out of a free customer service or goods impossible in service
    - It is impossible for a customer service in case of dented, scratched or damaged product of following goods, a lighter, a belt, accessary lacquer, a metal material one.
    - A customer service for lighter cling sound is not possible.
    - No customer service for worn-out part(s) or changed leather(s) of a belt, a wallet or a bag.
    ※ The targets of goods not possible in customer service can be different depending on sorts or conditions of products.
