The story of the brand Carrière Frères naturally follows the court wax maker, Cire Trudon, founded in 1643. In 1884, the Carrière brothers, passionate about traditional manufacturing, bought Cire Trudon and wanted to reinterpret it in a more modern way. The brothers, who valued tradition very much, still embraced the methods of the candle craftsmen of the 17th and 18th centuries. Their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, which began in 1884, when they founded Carrière Frères with a passion for keeping the tradition alive with innovative technology, still lives on.
